HHS
Hospital Elder Life Program (HELP) Volunteers Needed
Volunteers are needed for the Hospital Elder Life Program (HELP) at the Hamilton General and Juravinski Hospitals.

Hamilton Health Sciences’ HELP program is looking for volunteers interested in supporting seniors while in hospital. The goal of HELP is to prevent cognitive and physical decline in hospitalized seniors.

HELP volunteers make a positive difference in the hospitalized seniors’ lives; they provide cognitively stimulating interventions and support seniors in staying physically active while in hospital.

We are asking volunteers to commit to three hours per week working with our patients.

Volunteers must be older than 18 years of age and willing to participate in 24 hours of training, including two days of classroom instruction.

We are recruiting volunteers for both the Hamilton General Hospital and the Juravinski Hospital.

Next training sessions will take place in September and October.
