THE HEALTH CARE YOU SUPPORT...

The Hamilton Health Sciences Foundation is a registered charitable organization that exists to support patient care, research and education across the Hamilton Health Sciences family of hospitals - Chedoke, Hamilton General, Henderson General, Juravinski Cancer Centre, McMaster Children's Hospital, McMaster University Medical Centre and St. Peter's Hospital.

Here are some of the many ways your support can make a difference for our patients:

Funding Capital Projects & Equipment
Every year, HHS leadership identifies several priority projects that will improve the way our hospitals deliver care.  We also place a high priority on providing our medical teams with the tools they need to do their jobs.  Diagnostic, exploratory and surgical equipment has a normal lifespan of five to ten years, and so there is always a crucial need to replace and upgrade this equipment.

Investing in Research & Fellowships
Across our hospital sites, a wide variety of world-class research is being performed every day.  Laboratory research, clinical trials and health services research form the pillars of our research activities.  Fellowships provide financial support to young investigators in the early part of their careers at Hamilton Health Sciences.

Supporting Education
As a pre-eminent teaching hospital, HHS promotes and nurtures lifelong learning by providing annual funding to support the ongoing education and professional development of our medical staff.

Providing "Family" Grants
Each year, the Foundation awards grants to fund the special purchase of patient amenities.  Items include such things as DVD players and televisions for patient lounges, exercise bicycles, blanket warmers, walkers and pillows.

Thank You

The contributions of our donors help to improve lives.  Thank you for your commitment to making a difference.
