Services Provided:

Hamilton Health Sciences has Medical Diagnostic Units at each of the Hamilton General and Juravinski Hospital, that serve the needs of diverse adult patient populations requiring services. The following services are available at both the Hamilton General and the Juravinski Hospital:

• Echocardiograms (Echo)                                  
• Electroencephalography (EEG)        
• Electrocardiograms (ECG, EKG)
• Electromyography (EMG)                                          
• Holter Monitors                             
• Evoked Potentials (EVP)
• Exercise Testing                                                 
• Pulmonary Functions

 The McMaster University Medical Centre MDU also provides services to the pediatric population as well as adults. The following services are available at McMaster University Medical Centre:

• Echocardiograms (Echo)                           
• Holter Monitors                                  
• Electrocardiograms (ECG, EKG)
• Exercise Testing                                               
• Pulmonary Functions

 
All patients are referred through their family doctor or through a specialist that they may be seeing.
              

How to Find the MDU:

Juravinski Hospital – Enter the Hospital through the Main Entrance (Entrance A). Turn to your right. MDU will be on your left beside the glass-walled waiting room.

Hamilton General Hospital – From the Main entrance on Barton Street, turn left at the Coffee Shop and continue to the corridor for the MDU on your left. The MDU entrance is well marked and is the third door on the right.

McMaster University Medical Centre – From the Main Entrance, turn right and enter the Yellow section, Take the Yellow elevators to the 3^rd Floor and turn right. The MDU is well marked and located on the right hand side of the corridor, 3U.
