HIV Disclosure

The decision to disclose your HIV status is very difficult.  Who to tell, what to say, when to tell and how much to tell are all very challenging decisions. The most common situations that pose a risk of HIV transmission are:

  • Unprotected sexual intercourse
  • Sharing injecting equipment e.g. needles or syringes

  • Your doctor, or someone else you can trust, can help you prepare
