Signing bonus available to all newly hired perfusionists

Hamilton Health Sciences is hiring perfusionists to work in the heart of our city at Hamilton General Hospital. All new hires will be offered a competitive signing bonus.

Why Hamilton Health Sciences?

We are both a community hospital and a regional centre for acute care services, including cardiac, stroke, cancer, trauma, burns, neurosciences and pediatrics. We’re affiliated with McMaster University and Mohawk College, are recognized as one of the world’s leading health sciences research organizations, and routinely rank in the top five research hospitals in Canada.

Ours is the most comprehensive healthcare system in Ontario with five hospital sites and five specialized facilities in Hamilton and West Niagara. With 15,000 staff, physicians, researchers and volunteers we serve the health needs of approximately 2.3 million residents of Hamilton, Central South and Central West Ontario, from pre-birth to end-of-life.

Our Hamilton General Hospital site is the regional centre of excellence in cardiovascular and stroke care. Our service is provided by five leading, independent groups: cardiology, cardiac surgery, vascular surgery, stroke, and thrombosis. Each of these services provides Royal College Accredited training programs, and conducts world renowned research.

Our cardiac surgery program has grown to be the largest adult cardiac surgical centre in Ontario. Last year we provided 1,845 surgeries, including complex structural heart reconstructions, thoracic aortic aneurysm repairs, as well as minimally invasive and catheter based percutaneous valve repairs.

Hear from our Charge Perfusionist, Lee Noble, about what it’s like to work at the largest cardiac surgical centre in the province.

Why Hamilton?

Hamilton offers the perfect combination of city life and nature. Our vibrant, family-friendly core is bursting with new restaurants, breweries and shops in addition to a large public art gallery, several theatres and a sports and entertainment arena.

Just a short walk from the city centre, you’ll find hundreds of kilometres of walking trails weaving along the waterfront and through Hamilton’s diverse boroughs.

Hamilton is situated between Toronto and Niagara, less than an hour’s drive from each destination. This proximity affords easy access to airports, major league sports, cross-border shopping, and of course, wine country!
