Patient Services Funding

The following are some other examples of some of the items donated by HHSVA that would not have otherwise been possible through traditional funding channels:

  • Specialized wheelchairs, walkers, accessories and attachments
  • Therapy tools and devices
  • Furnishings for waiting rooms, family lounges and patient rooms
  • Equipment to aid health care professionals in caring for patients with low mobility who need assistance for everyday functions including bathing
  • Ongoing funding support for various patient care programs such as Therapeutic Recreation and the Social Work Emergency Fund

Patient Services Funding Request Program

One-time Requests

For all one-time requests, applications will be accepted throughout the year but must be received by April 30 of each year for consideration by the HHSVA Board of Directors in May. These applications are reviewed once a year by the HHSVA Board of Directors. Notification of the status of these requests are sent out in early June.

Ongoing Funding Requests

These applications will be accepted throughout the year but must be received for review by January 31 for consideration by the HHSVA Board of Directors in February. These applications are reviewed once a year by the HHSVA Board of Directors. Notification of the status of these requests are sent out in early March.
